2006: “On two of are 2006 T2000 kenoworth semis, the s-cam tube broke under stress of normal braking. Causing the trucks to lose there braking power to that tire. These trucks had around 400,000 miles on them. This kind of repair is rare this early in the trucks life, and is possibly dangerous if it happens at the wrong time.”

NHTSA complaint #10239398, filed 2008-08, 376,100 miles

2007: “Two brake assemblies broke off axles and failed to stop vehicle in safe stopping distance. This has happened to 6 other known incidents in the last 6 months. The brake assemblies have to be rewelded to the axles of the vehicles before they can be operated again safely. This defect is on semi tractors carrying 80,000 lbs gross weight and they do not have safe stopping distance to avoid a crash with this defect.”
