“We purchased a certified pre-owned 2024 Kia EV6 GT on 6/5/2026. On 6/6/2026 while driving on city streets, the display screen suddenly displayed a large and flashing red warning message Stop vehicle and check power supply in addition to the battery symbol. We took the vehicle to the dealership and they diagnosed that the ICCU had failed and needed to be replaced.”

NHTSA complaint #11749585, filed 2026-07

“I had an ICCU failure on 4/12/26. I was fortunate enough to be close to home, so I was able to get back home before the vehicle dropped into reduced power mode. As has been reported many other places, I heard a loud pop and moments later a number or warning messages came up on the display. It was towed to the dealer the following day and has been confirmed to be an ICCU failure.”

NHTSA complaint #11735651, filed 2026-05

“Was trying to drive EV. As soon as I pulled out of driveway it gave me a warning sign; to check electrical system/stop vehicle and check power supply. I couldn't drive car anywhere, had to get it towed to dealership. When tow truck arrived we couldn't turn car on, it had no power. Mind you, I had full charge on EV.”

NHTSA complaint #11725103, filed 2026-03

“The engine/power of my electric EV6 died. It went into limp home mode (speed limited) briefly before dying completely. I restarted it and was able to get it to a parking spot before it died again, but I was just lucky I was on a surface street with parking. Dealership confirmed it was an ICCU failure”

NHTSA complaint #11714044, filed 2026-01

“I was coming home from work on 1/13/2025 and got an alert. a red circle saying pull over and check the electrical system. when i pulled over the best i could the car went dark. i called Kia for road assistance and they dispatched a tow to the dealer. the next day the dealer called and told me the ICCU needs to be changed and arranged a loaner car for me. The Dealer has been very helpful throughout this ordeal thus far.”
