“On january 14,2021 after work around 3:30 when I got in my car it wouldn't start. We checked the oil and it had no oil. A towing truck picked up my car and took it to clay cooley Kia in irving. It's been sitting there since then and I was told I needed to pay 2,600 and that's only for what they believe is wrong with it. Why am I being charge? On the recall notice says they will repair at no cost to the costumer. Am I being scam?”
NHTSA complaint #11407154, filed 2021-04, 73 miles“My brand new 2017 Kia sporage ex vehicle stopped without any warning while I was driving in the middle lane of a busy street and almost got me killed. There was an accident trying to avoid hitting me because of the vehicle stopping. I was terrified. The police came and the vehicle was towed.”
NHTSA complaint #11182172, filed 2019-02, 20,598 miles“My car has service engine light on, when to dealer tuesday and they schedule me an appointment a week later on tuesday, but my car breakdown on friday night on highway, radiator overheat and start leaking, damage some other parts and now dealer doesn't want to fix my car and want me to pay $2800.00. My car was on motion on the highway driving 60 to 70mile per hour. Kia has a recall for same problem I had on Kia sorento 2017.”
NHTSA complaint #11061515, filed 2018-01, 10,000 miles“My 2017 Kia Sportage completely died on me. It was towed to jensen tires and I was told that the engine was totally blown. I then had it towed to h&h Kia in omaha, ne and shane clapps (service person) stated that the engine was indeed blown and needs a new engine. The vehicle was in motion and died on my in the middle of hwy 370 & 25th st in bellevue, ne. Tried jumping the vehicle, but it would not start at all. That is when or got towed to jensen tires, first, then to h&h Kia”

While in drive, when I press on accelerator but while the RPM's go up, the car doesn't move.. Once I remove my foot and then press again on the accelerator, it proceeds normally. Kia cannot find anything wrong with vehicle but last instance was less than 30 days ago. This is after Kia had to replace the block the first month of ownership of this brand new vehicle.”
