2020: “While driving our one-month old range rover Defender 110se, the brakes failed with no warning. The dealership (patrick jaguar & Land Rover of naperville il) was non-responsive to my requests for assistance and information when called from roadside. Vehicle had to be flat-bedded from scene. It was terrifying not to have braking ability.”
NHTSA complaint #11349162, filed 2020-08, 2,041 miles2026: “Driving along when electrical warning light came on and car died. Coasted into safe parking space. Would not start. Dash controls would not respond. This is the day after we bought it. It had been on trickle charge at the dealership and drove fine the evening we bought it. It was fine driving in the morning. So the battery should have been fully charged.”
NHTSA complaint #11765553, filed 2026-092024: “Yes, my car caught fire. It's at an impound currently. My clothes caught fire when I tried putting it out. The car could have been parked in my garage or been in NYC, with a full tank of gas, that would have caused serious damage. My insurance company is sending an investigator to look into it today. No, warning lamps, messages or symptoms.”
