“I was driving on main road at the speed limit (45 MPH). I had slowed down as I observed a car pulling out ahead of me onto the road. As I gave my vehicle gas in order to get back up to speed, I felt a pause in the engine and then the car completely lost power- the engine stopped, the red battery icon appeared on the dash, and message appeared on the screen with the heading special program suspended or something to that effect-- I had no time to read that message as I had to steer my car as far to the right as I was able to. …”
NHTSA complaint #11209915, filed 2019-05, 37,108 miles“The 2017 Discovery has been designed with only 4 air vents in the front dash and 2 very weak air vents in the 2nd row. This is a 3 row passenger vehicle with no vents in the 3rd row. The car is missing at least 4 vents and is creating a safety hazard in hot and cold environments. I cannot have passengers or animals in the rear of the car due to the lack of ventilation in the vehicle. In addition, due to attempting to cool the car down, running the car with max AC is giving me only 9-10 mpg. Car is advertised as 16 mpg city. …”
NHTSA complaint #11002620, filed 2017-07, 270 miles“Your website does not recognize the existence of a 2017 Discovery. Instead it lists only Discovery sport, and entirely different vehicle with an entirely different engine and other components. Therefore, I cannot trust your listing of recalls, etc. Please look into this and correct both the search function and the results page to show correct info.”
NHTSA complaint #11405422, filed 2021-03, 40,000 miles“Vehicle has severe defects relating to the climate control functions. 1) in hot weather, it cannot cool down the car, 2) due to having to keep the climate at lo/max, I am getting 9-10 mpg (16 city is stated), 3) independent climate control functions do not work, 4) no ventilation in 2/3 of car.”
NHTSA complaint #11002969, filed 2017-07, 300 miles“Water coming from top part of the front windshield. This was previously fixed but after few years problem persists and started causing electrical issues. I already had to replaced computer out of my pocket even it was under warranty cause did not wanted to fix it.”
