“The contact owns a 2005 Lexus ES330. The contact stated that while parked, he noticed cracks on the passenger's side of the dashboard. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnosis. The technician stated that the dashboard would have to be replaced. The dashboard was replaced however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 30,000. Updated 9/17/13”
NHTSA complaint #10505968, filed 2013-04, 30,000 miles“The contact owns a 2005 Lexus es330. The contact stated the passenger frontal air bag was separating from the dashboard. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who inspected the frontal passenger air bag and found the air bag was separating from the enclosed dashboard. The dealer stated the failure was not covered under the warranty. The manufacturer advised that they would assist with some of the repair cost. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 91,000 and the current mileage was 91,100. Updated 07/26/11 updated 08/19/11”
