“Our Lexus had a bad roller bearing on the rear passenger's wheel. The internet (Lexus owners club) tells us that many other owners with this model have had the same problem in the same location. It is dangerous because the wheel can suddenly seize or fly off, causing loss of control. I hope you will require Lexus to recall and fix the cars that haven't failed yet, and to reimburse those who have had to have it fixed already.”
NHTSA complaint #10467155, filed 2012-07, 86,883 miles“Vehicle is equipped with two-piece style lug nuts consisting of a physical lug nut and a decorative cap. Lug nuts are 21mm in size. Over time, especially in humid climates or where road salt is used, lug nuts swell between decorative cap and physical lug nut due to corrosion. Swelling can cause 21mm tools including vehicle lug wrench to not fit on lug nut. This is a safety concern because having a flat tire with this issue can lead to being unable to remove lug nuts from vehicle”
