“Hello. I recently had to pay CarMax $1,083 to replace my right rear (tailgate mounted) turn signal assembly. CarMax said the issue was due to a seal failing on the light assembly which allowed water to enter the unit and short out the LED unit. The same issue occured for 2024-25 Corsairs and was addressed by the NHTSA Campaign 25V688 / Ford Recall 25C53 and Lincoln. Can the NHTSA force a recall on earlier models since my 2020 Corsair has the exact same issue? It's unbeleivable that I was faced with an $1,100 bill for my tail lights not working when the problem was due to poor engineering. …”

“vehicles rear tail and signal lights failed, no rear signaling to traffic behind said vehicle. Lincoln has a recall on 2024-2025 corsairs for this issue but earlier models do not have this recall but the same issue are on the earlier models. The vehicle has been inspected by a ford dealer and confirmed. there are no warning indicators to the driver of this failure, lights just quick working.”

The vehicle was taken to a dealer; however, the dealer failed to duplicate the failure. The contact stated that the message remained on the instrument panel. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 13,378.”

NHTSA complaint #11638836, filed 2025-01, 13,378 miles

“The overhead lights randomly turn on, which is incredibly distracting, especially when driving at night. Additionally, the moonroof has just stopped working. Although this is more of an inconvenience, I am concerned that both of these combined represent an electrical issue with the overhead console module, which can result in many more hazards if left without repair. There are no dash lights signaling issues. …”
