“Several problems have occurred, not sure if they are related or not. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. In my opinion as a retired mechanic the problem components might include transmission, torque converter, accelerator or any electrical components associated with these systems. There were no warning lamps or messages related to the situation before or since. The following are my descriptions of the two issues: 1) In every day around town driving, mostly at lower speeds or after coasting, the transmission jerks, stutters and chugs. …”

NHTSA complaint #11760904, filed 2026-08

“After stopping vehicle at red light, drive thru, stop sign, when I try to accelerate a check engine light comes on and message power train malfunction/reduced power. The vehicle then has to be put in park, restart, and put back in drive. This happened when pulling out into road at a stop sign, and a busy red light. I feel this is a safety issue. I have taken the vehicle to Lincoln and they state unable to duplicate problem. This has happened four times since I purchased the vehicle new in August 2023. The most recent time was December 6.”

The vehicle was initially taken to an independent mechanic, where a transmission replacement was recommended. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer, where excessive metal debris was found inside the transmission, and it was determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. …”
