The vehicle would stop accelerating, jerk and on several occasions, go into limp home mode. The dealer could not find anything wrong with the vehicle. The consumer requested ford to replace or a refund since the problem could not be fixed. …”

This problem occurred while being driven on the highway. The consumer was advised that the problem was the electronic throttle control. When the cruise was on the vehicle would skip, when returning to the center from a left turn the signal would not cut off at times, the engine would race at low speeds and did not accelerate properly, and the engine would go into limp mode.”
