Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Unable to do standard maintenance by replacing 100,000 spark plugs early. Took the vehicle to the ford dealer, they advised me $1000 if they did not break any plugs. After refusing the repair and paying $150 for diagnosis I magically have a broken plug. Why has this not been escalated to a recall it is obvious that ford has a problem they refuse to address. This minor repair will now be over $1500. Should we buy imported vehicles, that you can put plugs in for $100?”
