“The contact owns a 2015 Lincoln MKC. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH the vehicle started losing motive power. The contact depressed the accelerator pedal and the vehicle failed to respond. The contact pulled off the road and turned off and restarted the vehicle; however, the failure recurred. The contact stated that the wrench symbol was displayed. The contact stated that the vehicle was losing motive power and slower speeds; however, while depressing the accelerator pedal the vehicle was jerking while the RPM was increasing. …”

The contact stated that the rear driver’s side and rear middle seat belts failed to latch properly when the two passengers attempted to latch the seat belts into the seat belt buckles. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the dealer inspected the vehicle and informed the contact that she would need to pay for the seat belts replacement. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA. The approximate failure mileage was 39,000.”
