Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“There were original rear struts on the vehicle. When we purchased it. We replaced the rear struts about 4 years ago. Drivers rear was clunking and leaking. We are in need to replace again now. Clunking but also bouncing around which scared me terrible on Highway. I just don’t think in 9 years and 85,000 (approx) miles. You should have to have three different sets. I think there is a problem with the drivers struts.”

NHTSA complaint #11530628, filed 2023-07

“The transmission is slipping my car is only has 53,000 miles on it, the radio doesn’t work I had to pay over $1000 to fix the trunk latch and my brakes are fine but not working properly”

NHTSA complaint #11717970, filed 2026-02
