“The contact owns a 2001 Lincoln Town Car executive. The contact stated that the drivers side door handle does not return to its fully closed position and would not remain closed, causing the door to open while the vehicle was in motion. The failure was similar to NHTSA campaign id number 08v058000 (latches/ locks/ linkages doors, latch). The manufacturer was aware of the failure; however they informed the contact that her model was not involved in the previous recall and to take the vehicle to a local dealer for diagnostic testing. …”
