2018 Mazda CX-3 Technical Service Bulletins
477 technical service bulletins (TSBs) are on record for the 2018 Mazda CX-3. TSBs are notes manufacturers send to dealers about repair procedures for issues seen in the field. They are not recalls and do not by themselves mean a vehicle has a fault.
- 10237199May 17, 2023Transmission and drivetrain. Some vehicles may experience the check engine light and automatic transaxle warning light ON with one or more of these DTCs stored in the TCM memory (P0842, P0847, P0872, P0877, P0780, P1738).
- 10237197May 9, 2023Electrical system. The Mazda DCA-8000 is required for all warranty battery testing. If the Mazda DCA-8000 is not used, incorrect battery testing may result in unnecessary battery replacement. Use the following test procedures in this Service Bulletin to test Mazda vehicle batteries and to generate a Warranty Code.
- 10237200May 3, 2023Steering. Some vehicles may exhibit a light resistance and/or an unusual noise when turning the steering wheel in either direction. This concern may be caused by insufficient lubrication between the worm wheel gear and worm shaft. To eliminate this concern, the production process for the steering shaft has been modified.
- 10235414Apr 3, 2023Steering. Some vehicles may exhibit wear/peel-off of the leather steering wheel surface causing a poor appearance. This concern may be caused by an insufficient wear resistance of the steering wheel surface.
- 10233561Mar 27, 2023Transmission and drivetrain. The rear differential case could develop a crack in the case, as shown below. NOTE: This could affect new vehicles just delivered to the dealer as well as customer vehicles. This concern is caused when the sliding bearing (1) in the coupling (2) is seized and causes the coupling component to fit loosely. The pinion shaft head (3) then contacts the differential case and causes a crack.
- 10233669Mar 21, 2023Equipment. There are currently 2 methods for cutting a new auxiliary key blank. A. Auxiliary Key Trace Cut Method. B. Auxiliary Key Code Cut Method

- 10232300Feb 1, 2023Electrical system. Some customers may complain that the ambient temperature on the instrument cluster is displayed more than 50 °F (10°C) lower than the actual temperature, resulting in insufficient performance of the air conditioning. This is caused by inappropriate soldering in the ambient temperature sensor. To eliminate this concern, the soldering process has been enhanced since December 2021 at the supplier.
- 10230882Jan 27, 2023Transmission and drivetrain. The rear differential case could develop a crack in the case NOTE: This could affect new vehicles just delivered to the dealer as well as customer vehicles.
