“I am the second owner of this vehicle. Its a 2010. I went to the dealership to see why I was hearing noises when I drive and was advised the wheel bearings where loose. How is that possible? This vehicle is not even 5 years old. Per my reseach, these things at supposed to lose for the life of the vehicle. Its only been 5 years. How is this possible?”
NHTSA complaint #10726553, filed 2015-06, 64,000 miles“Within 17 hours of each occurrence, two TPMS (tire pressure monitoring sensors) had broken from corrosion causing a sudden loss of air in the tire, resulting in a flat tire and dangerous highway driving situation. Both tires had adequate air before the incidents that had just been checked before the trip. The remaining two TPMS were also badly corroded when inspected and were replaced.”
NHTSA complaint #10745269, filed 2015-07, 76,400 miles“Both rear tire pressure sensors failed due to either over-tightening or corrosion. Both sensors snapped off right below the sensor stem cap causing both rear tires to deflate. On a newer car still under warranty, Mazda claims sensors are only covered until 36000 miles. And they're not cheap either ($80 each, not including installation.)”
NHTSA complaint #10439688, filed 2011-12, 47,900 miles“While im driving the steering is shifting to the right and seems lower on right side. My tires daily need to have air in them because of the uneven weight. While I drive and let go of the gas the car pulls back like an E brake could be stuck not sure though. No accidents at all but it seems like the vehicle is getting weaker and weaker with the uneven weight going down on the tires and steering seems like it's going to crash onto the right without being able to control it.”
NHTSA complaint #11526861, filed 2023-06“The wheels were turning in and the steering was really hard to keep straight had to turn the steering wheel almost half around car make Loud screaming noises.tires went flat ..i have 6 grandkids lucky I wasn't going fast the car could of flipped .subframe broke in half on passenger side rusted right out.i got this car from right way dealership in Saginaw Michigan in march of 2019 they never told me or never contacted me that there was a recall for the subframe breaking.could of killed someone!!!!”
