NHTSA complaint #10069156, filed 2004-01, 11,000 miles“This complaint is about part design defects for 2002 Mazda MPV. Over years, I was struggling to solve engine light-on which took place every once while. Recently, the thing got worse - engine idle rough, engine lack of power, jerking at low RPM. After long time struggle, I've finally found the problem, which was caused by a pcv hose failure. I've never thought it was a pcv hose problem, because the original pcv hose (part # aj51-13-89) has been recalled by Mazda and replaced by new one (part # aj51-13-89ya, it looks like revision a) back to years ago. I've thought Mazda has solved the problem. …”
NHTSA complaint #10262969, filed 2009-03“I bought this car for 6 months, the engine light on twice, didn't fix it first time, the advisor said the gas tank cap is not close tight enought. Couple of days later, the engine light is one again, this time they found control system incorrect flow, small leak, hose off of purge valve at air cleaner housing. Car pulls to left on highway and right on local street. Brought in 4 time, admit alignment on the 3rd time and fix it, but still pull. Brought in again the fourth time, said found no pulling problem. …”
