2012 MINI Cooper Countryman Technical Service Bulletins
121 technical service bulletins (TSBs) are on record for the 2012 MINI Cooper Countryman. TSBs are notes manufacturers send to dealers about repair procedures for issues seen in the field. They are not recalls and do not by themselves mean a vehicle has a fault.
- 10149331Jan 1, 2013Brakes. ABS/DSC Control During Light Braking. When driving slowly over uneven road surfaces, there may sometimes be pre-mature ABS application relative to the driving situation with the brake lightly applied. Software in the Dynamic Stability Control unit (DSC)
- 10149330Jan 1, 2013Suspension. Cracking or Popping Noise from Rear Axle. A cracking or popping noise is heard from the rear axle during take-offs or during load reversal. CAUSE Rear axle nut incorrectly torqued
- 10149329Jan 1, 2013Suspension. Cracking or Popping Noise from Front Axle. A cracking or popping noise is heard from the front axle during take-offs or during load reversal CAUSE Front axle nut not correctly torqued
- 10149323Jan 1, 2013Engine. Engine Oil Leak. The customer states that a small engine oil leak can be seen from the underside of the engine. CAUSE The internal sealing of the oil pump volume control solenoid valve is compromised, allowing engine oil to leak from the oil pump volume control solenoid.
- 10051918Jan 1, 2013Brakes. Mini: abs/dsc control during light braking. Driving over uneven road surfaces at a slow pace may sometimes cause pre-mature abs application when the brake is lightly applied. Models r55, r56, r57, r58, r59, and r60.
- 10051917Jan 1, 2013Suspension. Mini: popping and cracking noises coming from the rear axle. Model r60.
- 10051915Jan 1, 2013Transmission and drivetrain. Mini: popping or cracking noise is heard coming from the frot axle during take off or during load reversal. Model r60.
- 10150402Dec 1, 2012Electrical system. Service Action: OBC Functions Missing - Retrofit Procedure. The On-Board Computer function on certain vehicles is missing from the instrument cluster. CAUSE Option code 0550 is missing from the vehicle order.
- 10150401Dec 1, 2012Visibility (wipers, defrost, mirrors). "Front Power Windows Not Functioning Properly. The front power window may exhibit one or more of the following faults: * The window reverses when it reaches the top travel * Loss of the ""one touch"" feature when closing the window * Window movement is not smooth or stops halfway * Windows cannot be initialized with ISTA or manually CAUSE Front power window drive and Footwell Module (FRM) software"
- 10150400Dec 1, 2012Suspension. Adjusting Rear Camber. Rear camber cannot be adjusted properly. CAUSE Repair instructions not followed properly
- 10150398Dec 1, 2012Engine cooling. "Service Action: Retrofit of the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor. Internal corrosion could form in the engine coolant temperature sensor. This corrosion leads to internal bridging of the contacts, which can cause an inaccurate engine temperature reading. This false reading could lead to difficulty in the engine starting and/or a ""Service Engine Soon"" lamp being illuminated."
- 10150397Dec 1, 2012Engine cooling.
- 10150357Oct 1, 2012Electrical system. ?SUBJECT DWA (Anti-theft Alarm System): False Alarm Is Triggered Intermittently. When the vehicle is parked and locked (DWA active), the alarm system is triggered intermittently. One or more of the following conditions may trigger the alarm system: Sun roof in the tilted/open position, Window partially open, Excessive local noise (for example, near an airport, on a busy road, or in heavy rain) CAUSE Normal…
- 10150356Oct 1, 2012Electrical system. "Discharged Battery: Energy Diagnosis Must Be Performed. MINI electrical systems and advancements in vehicle technology have resulted in an increased demand on the vehicle battery. This SI will help the dealer handle ""discharged battery"" complaints. A discharged battery can have various causes, most unrelated to the battery. A failed battery is often the symptom and not the cause.
- 10150350Oct 1, 2012Engine cooling.
- 10150349Oct 1, 2012Engine cooling.
- 10150347Oct 1, 2012Engine cooling. During Engine Oil Service a Small O-Ring Is Found in the Oil Filter Housing. No customer complaint has been received. During the scheduled engine oil service, the technician notices a black rubber o-ring lying on the bottom of the engine oil filter housing. The o-ring has been dislodged from the non-return valve inside the engine oil filter housing. No subsequent engine damage occurs from the dislodged o-ring.
- 10049422Oct 1, 2012Engine, Engine cooling. Mini: the engine thermostat housing had poor solder contacts in coolant temperature sensor which caused a no start, or hard, long crank start of a cold engine. No models or model years listed.
- 10049421Oct 1, 2012Engine, Engine cooling. Mini: engine coolant temperature sensor, now an individual component due to change in wiring harness and replacement of harness has two separate two pin connectors, where one for coolant temperature sensor and other coolant thermostat. All models built up to 3/2012.
- 10044699Jun 1, 2012Engine. Mini: when resealing engine oil pan, engine oil pan gasket replacement should no longer be used due to causing sealing flange becoming deformed. Models r55, r56, r59, r60, r57, and r58. No model years listed.
- 10043873Jan 1, 2012Fuel system, Engine cooling. Mini: service engine soon is illuminated due to tank ventilation valve (tev) being jammed open and fuel cap, with evaporative system leakage, was incorrectly installed.
