“Dt: the contact states she owns a 2001 mitsubishi Montero sport. The contact's vehicle was involved in an accident as a result of the brakes not working. When applying the brakes they would not stop the vehicle. The contact was pumping the brakes to try to get the vehicle to stop, but it would not come to a complete stop. This caused the contact's vehicle to hit another vehicle that wstopped in front of contact's vehicle. The dealership stated that the vehicle was totaled. The manufacturer said that they had nothing to do with the brakes. …”

Consumer states problem with vehicle indicators and hydraulic brake booster accumulator leakage the consumer stated within the past week, along with a sound alert from the horn, the ABS light illuminated on the dashboard. The consumer took the vehicle to his mechanic, where he was informed there was a recall on the failure. The mechanic advised the consumer to take the vehicle to a mitsubishi dealer. The consumer scheduled an appointment. However, the consumer was informed the recall did not include his vehicle identification number. Recall # 01v254001.”
