  Reported issue: Certain passenger vehicles fail to conform to the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 208, 'occupant crash protection.' the bilingual english/spanish removable air bag warning labels affixed to the dash and to the sunvisor do not meet the size requirements of the standard.

  Possible consequence: This does not meet the requirements of the standard.

  Remedy: Mitsubishi caribbean will mail a customer notification letter containing a written description and a graphic of the bi-lingual dashboard air bag warning label.   Reported issue: On certain passenger vehicles, a condition exists that allows oil to leak from the all-wheel drive transfer case.

  Possible consequence: Low oil levels in the transfer case could cause bearing damage and result in drive train lockup, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Remedy: Dealers will inspect the transfer case for indications of oil leakage or damage. Vehicles that have oil leakage will have the transfer case resealed and re-fill the transfer case to the proper level, or replaced the transfer case if there is evidence of damage.
