“I just purchased a pre-owned certified 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport gt with an odometer of around 6043 miles at time of purchase. In the last 2 days since purchasing, I have noticed that while the car is in stop and go traffic at a complete halt, when pushing on the gas pedal to move forward, there is a waiting delay of a second and then the car surges forward. The delayed response where the car does not immediately accelerate when pushing on the gas can happen after being in a complete stop at an intersection, or on the highway while complete stopping during traffic. …”

No change despite several transmission servicing/towing expenses. Per online research, others experiencing same issues. Often resolves temporarily by turning off engine and restarting car. Recalls issued for other Mitsubishi models, but not for this car. Needs to be addressed to prevent injury or loss of life.”
