“The contact owns a 2009 Nissan Frontier. The contact stated that while driving at 20 MPH, an abnormal noise was heard from the rear of the vehicle. The failure occurred constantly. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the ringing pinion had failed and the rear end assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 67,709.”

The contact was driving 35 MPH when the brakes failed after being depressed and the vehicle crashed into a lamp post. The crash caused no injuries and a police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a private mechanic where the mechanic confirmed that the front lower control arm was detached from the vehicle. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 72,000 and the current mileage was 74,435. Updated 04/11/12 updated 06/13/2012”
