“Brand new Nissan with less than 11k miles and been having nonstop issues with starting the car. There's been multiple occasions where the brake becomes very stiff and hard even though the car haven't sat for long. I've brought it to the dealership and called several roadside assistance and still have no solution to fix it. I've seen and read hundreds of forums online and decided to change my brake switch and I'm still having the same problem.”
NHTSA complaint #11362491, filed 2020-10, 10,500 miles“For some reason when I start my car it revs up like my foot is on the gas. My radio cuts off and restarts for no reason. When my lights are on automatic once my car is parked it takes 15 or longer intermittently for them to shut off.”
NHTSA complaint #11277024, filed 2019-10, 1,200 miles“While decelerating on to an exit off-ramp the car started refusing to shift and came to a stop on the side of the expressway. When I tried to pull off the road it said “Transmission Fluid Pressure Low”. At this time I am unsure if it is a sensor or the transmission.”
NHTSA complaint #11557559, filed 2023-11“It's a new 2019 Nissan Sentra I took it in last year and they replaced the battery because I kept having a dead battery where I would have to jump start my car, now again 2021 its doing the same problem where I have to jump start my car 2-3 per week.”
NHTSA complaint #11404341, filed 2021-03“To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally report an ongoing and serious issue regarding the transmission in my Nissan vehicle and to request assistance from Nissan North America. This is my third Nissan Sentra Sport, and unfortunately, I have experienced the same transmission failure in all three vehicles, each occurring before the vehicle reached 100,000 miles. In the two previous vehicles, I replaced the transmission, only to have the same problem occur again. At this time, I am having the same transmission issue with my current vehicle, which I purchased in 2022. …”
