1995 Oldsmobile 88 Equipment Problems

“At 80,000 miles my intake manifold leaked antifreeze into my engine. This engine was replaced and the new engine done the same thing. Something needs to be done with this. The first engine was the original olds 88 engine. The second one was the series ll engine. I almost got hit when the car stalled. Both of the mechanics involved stated they see this happens all the time. Something needs to be done.”

“Air conditioner evaporator core located in an enclosed area behind passenger side engine firewall developed serious leaks causing total loss of air condition gas. At first the loss of coolant gas was thought to be as result of failure of the high & low pressure tube, however after replacement a serious leak continued with- in the system which was later discovered to a leaking evaporator core. Apparently this is a common problem for air condition evaporators for the 1995 oldmobile 88 and some other general motors vehicles of around that model year. Replacement cost is very expensive. …”
