1997 Oldsmobile Aurora Other or unknown Problems

“Oil pressure dropping when stopped- from 13-5 lbs oil ight comes on. When accelerating it rises.replaced oil sending unit. Added lucas. Lucas helped but started dropping again at every stop. Old part is available. Oil changed pressure checked, oil pump pumping.. . Not ticking runs smooth. Oil pressure gage reading wrong.(information center) computer needs to be fixed on the information center. Oil pressure real reading at idol is 42lbs.”

“Purchased a 1997 Oldsmobile Aurora new in august of 1997. Car was/is fully loaded and maroon in color. Over the years, starting about 2001, the paint began to fade and peel. Discussions with local dealer went nowhere. Now, may 2005, car has about 70,000 miles and looks like a peeling sunburnied victim. Dealer still says ther is nothing they can do and that Oldsmobile won't warranty the paint, even though it was obviously a poor paint job from day one. …”
