“While I was driving my 1999 Oldsmobile Bravada felt like a tire had gone flat.. After noticing the problem I went to pull over and the entire SUV pulled to the right almost hitting a parked boat. When I exited the vehicle I noticed the passangers side tire was sideways.. Half underneath the truck. I checked with the dealership who I bought the truck from and there not willing to help for free as I dont have a warranty.. Even though this is the second problem ive had with the vehicle since I bought it 8 months prior. …”
NHTSA complaint #10060244, filed 2004-03, 46,000 miles“On 11 apr 2005, I purchased a 1999 Oldsmobile Bravada from a nh dealer, with approx. 74000 miles on it. Within one week, the vehicle was returned for a bad water pump, and driver's window switch. During the week of 21 april, I had the alternator replaced. This vehicle had a nh state inspection sticker, but it has yet to pass a ma state inspection. The air injection pump that assists in the air/fuel mix has been updated by GM, but their update allows them to call it something other than a recall, so, it would cost me an additional $400-500. For this update . …”
NHTSA complaint #10149317, filed 2006-02, 74,190 miles“Vehicle stalled backing out of a parking spot. Upon attempting to restart, vehicle started smoking from under hood. Fire dept responded to extinguish the fire. Vehicle was totalled.”
NHTSA complaint #10033219, filed 2003-08, 47,234 miles“On 2-12-1999 my wife was struck from behind by another vehicle and driven into a semi during a whiteout on i94 near marshall, michigan. Auto-owners insurance decided to repair the vehicle over our objections since this involved completely rebuilding the vehicle and installing a new frame. The car was in the body shop 11 weeks and we took possession only when the insurance company said they would only guarantee to repair any future items. Our first noticable objection was that door gaps were 125% greater than others. This LED us to inspect the rest of the car very carefully. …”
NHTSA complaint #715650, filed 1999-12“The horn has failed to work for the last seven month; on july 3, 2000, the gear shift lever remained stuck after starting the engine, preventing the ability to put the car into drive. The dealer fixed the problem. On august 3, 2000, the gear shift was stuck again. The dealer kept the car for a week fixing the problem. The car was returned on august 11, 2000; and that evening the gear shift was stuck again. This is a third incident in a month. The owner is unable to use the vehicle.”
