1991: “I have a 1991 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser (station wagon). For the last two days, vehicle has been swiggly when coming to a stop. Not so bad yesterday, noticeably worse today. A stuck front caliper was suspected. However, on the way home from work today vehicle became very unstable while decelerating from approx. 50 MPH. Vehicle was immediately pulled to the side of the road and inspected for a flat tire, etc. No obvious problem was found. …”

NHTSA complaint #10044947, filed 2003-10, 230,000 miles1986: “1986 Oldsmobile power master ran continuously and leaked brake fluid. A private mechanic found a recall for the problem and repaired it at no cost to the consumer (1996). Now the vehicle is exhibiting symptoms of the last problem. The consumer contacted the manufacturer and on three occasions they denied him repair under the recall. The electric power brake booster leaked brake fluid.”
