NHTSA complaint #10870430, filed 2016-05, 160,000 miles

“I have called multiple GM dealerships in order to get my ignition recall, oil leak from valve cover recall, and rear seatbelt recalls taken care of and so far none have returned my phone calls regarding the issues. I have had the appointments set for at least 6 months at 2 different dealerships and have yet to hear back on any parts arriving. They told me over the phone at both dealers that it would take a week and a half for parts to arrive and that they would return my call when parts did arrive, but I have yet to hear anything.”

“Was having an oil leak and could smell burnt oil. I was driving down the road and it started to no have any power so I turned into tsc and all of a sudden I seen smoke under the hood. I opened up the hood and it was on fire at the exhaust manifold. The manager from tsc came out with extinguisher and we go t the fire out right away before it was any bigger. A friend of mine just told me today that there was a recall on this for this reason. My dad had it taken in for that recall in russellville, arkansas. What every they did didnt fix the problem. I am just glad it was caught right away. …”

NHTSA complaint #10775375, filed 2015-09, 160,000 miles

“Computer would not allow car to start. Paint chipping on all fender edges. Constant flat tires, one near wreck on freeway due to leaking rims that mechanic says should never be driven in the winter becasue the rims will not hold up to the weather.”

NHTSA complaint #10069375, filed 2004-01, 75,000 miles

“The piston rod blew a 2.5 inch hole through the engine casing at 158000 km. We had to completely replace the engine. The engine warning light never came on to warn us that a major part failure was about to take place. The back shoulder belts have never functioned properly. The brakes seem to need frequent replacement due to corosion of parts. Could you please let me know if anyone else has complained about a blown out engine? Thank you”
