Example complaints

Fuel system: “I bought a new vespa 2010 gts and around 400 miles on the odometer, the fuel pump died. When the scooter was cold, it would start, but as the engine warmed, upon shutting in off, it would not restart. I had it towed to the nearest shop where they replaced the fuel pump.”

NHTSA complaint #10363898, filed 2010-11, 400 miles

Electrical system: “Fuel pump stops working causing unit to turn off when engine is at operating temperatures. Stalling and not turning on. This situation happens after 20 mins of riding. It can turn off while riding or at an intersection/stop sign with no warning. After about 2 hours the unit will eventually restart. No updated part has been made yet. The company continues to replace the fuel pump with the same old part number?!?! Please help us have a safe and enjoyable machine to ride. This can be a very dangerous problem if not addressed soon.”
