“While driving vehicle idled real high, then slowed down. Put the key in the ignition and the vehicle started up, but it did not move. Had a mechanic to look at the vehicle and was told that the computer was burnt out. Then she had a second opinon, and was told that she had a fuel pump air leak, and this caused her to have power reduction while driving. She states she has never received a recall on her vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #747356, filed 2001-06“Vehicle lunges/surges at idle. Acts like it doesn;t go out of gear. Must press firmly on brake to keep vehicle from lunging ahead. Very rough idle. Shakes steering wheel violently. Must place transmission in neutral at stop to control vehicle. When shifted to neutral engine races momentarily and then slows down. Vehicle is hard to control when stopped, performance unpredictible, unreliable and dangerous to other persons and vehicles.”
