Almost like a chemical burn from the brightness of other headilghts and the vehicle mirrors mixed chemical nomenclature were having a bad reaction. This caused me to become aware of an issue. …”

NHTSA complaint #11129639, filed 2018-09, 100 miles

“When we fill up the fuel tank the car has a very strong smell of gas inside the car and several feet away from the car and found a puddle of gas under the car. Once the tank is 1/2 down the smell subsides. We took it to the dealer and they said we needed a new gas tank, lines and pump.and seal. The car is only 7 years old with 40,000 miles on it. There isn't any physical damage to the tank and we feel that it ahould be taken care of by the manufacturer as it seems to be an error in the assembly of the tank. Thank you for your time.”

I drove home parked my car in the garage moments later my daughter arrived home and began complaining about the strong gas fumes in the garage and gas leaking underneath my car. I got out of bed went into the garage, then I smelt heavy gas fumes and saw the gas on my garage floor. …”
