“Dt: the contact stated the vehicle had many different problems and safety defects. The first problem started just seven days after purchasing the vehicle. While pressing on the brakes they sounded like they were falling apart. The next problem concerned the engine. At times there was noise and the vehicle shook very badly. Also, the vehicle lurched forward without warning. The third problem involved the electrical system. When the vehicle was started the radio made a cracking sound, and the power door locks worked intermittently. The interior lights flashed/turned off and on. …”

I was wondering if there have been any other incidents? And the radio display has stopped working also , I have also heard about that from other Pontiac owners.”
NHTSA complaint #10255259, filed 2009-01“The contact owns a 2004 Pontiac VIBE. The contact stated that the interior lighting in the vehicle continuously fails. In a one month period, she had to replace the bulbs twice. As a consequence, her visibility is significantly reduced in the vehicle. The vehicle has not been inspected to determine the cause of the failure. The failure and current mileages were 100,000. Updated 09/15/08 updated 09/18/08.”
