What NHTSA recorded

Vehicle description: navistar models 4700 and 4900 street sweepers equipped with dualized steering and vehicle cruise control. Improper wiring near the vehicle steering wheels will cause the cruise control to stay engaged after depressing the foot brake pedal.

Possible consequence

The brake pedal may not deactivate the cruise control, increasing the risk of loss of control by the operator.

Remedy

Dealers will correct the wiring to the cruise control.

Affected model years

Pages for each model year show complaints, parts, mileage and other recalls.
