What NHTSA recorded

On certain motor homes the battery cable may have been routed too close to the exhaust manifold.

Possible consequence

This could cause the cable to melt, creating an electrical short, which could result in a fire.

Remedy

Dealers will inspect and reroute and/or replace the battery cable free of charge. The recall began on february 28, 2005. Owners may contact jayco at 574-825-5861.
