Road debris may enter an opening in the rear suspension trailing arm and damage the bearing seal.

Possible consequence

Vehicle stability may be impaired under certain roador operating conditions which may cause loss of vehicle control.

Remedy

Drill a 1/8 inch vent/drain hole, clean the bearing seal area, apply heavy washout resistant grease between the hub assembly and the trailing arm surfaces, and install a foam rubber plug into the angled opening at inboard side of the trailing arm.
