What NHTSA recorded

Vehicle description: transit buses equipped with an auxiliary diesel powered heater (proheat bravo model 80). An improperly assembled fuel regulator can allow an excess amount of fuel into the combustion chamber.

Possible consequence

This leakage can lead to a potential for flames to escape from the heater exhaust.

Remedy

Teleflex canada, the manufacturer of the heater, will inspect and, if necessary, replace all defective regulators.

Affected model years
