Vehicle description: heavy duty trucks equipped with alcoa 984650 24.5 x 8.25 wheels. The affected wheels were improperly heat treated.

Possible consequence

This condition can lead to an out of roundness condition causing separation of the tire from the wheel.

Remedy

Tires will be removed from the wheel to identify the heat lot number and wheels with the affected lot number will be replaced.
