Vehicle description: school buses built on chevrolet cutaway chassis have their rear emergency egress zone partially blocked by passenger seats. This does not meet the requirements of fmvss no. 217, "bus window retention and release."

Possible consequence

In the event of a crash, vehicle occupants may not be able to exit the vehicle increasing the risk of personal injury.

Remedy

Owners will be provided with new seats and installation instructions.
