Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“After Build 2026.31.0·010c8e12 software was installed the camera stitch and angles display has changed. Objects at or near the four corners of the vehicle are no longer showing on screen. Objects can be at a height to damage the vehicle, but not trigger on the sonic sensors. Additionally, parking spot lines are doubled and curved when reversing, leading to potential driver confusion.”

NHTSA complaint #11769627, filed 2026-10

“Rivian issued an OTA update, 2023.42.0, that rendered all but the most basic functions disabled. There is no center screen. No ability to control defrost or climate in the vehicle. All advanced safety features, other than blind spot warnings, appear disabled.”

NHTSA complaint #11555060, filed 2023-11
