“I have the electronic control HVAC system in my sante fe. The air conditioning will work normal for a time period. Then when it is turned on from the off position by using the auto mode it will sound like the air is blowing but only a slight amount of air will come out. If it is left on and in the high fan mode a dripping sound can be heard. The system will not reset itself until the vehicle has been turned off for a good length of time (sometimes hours). This is the second time I have experienced this same problem. …”
NHTSA complaint #10026123, filed 2003-07, 43,000 miles“I have had my 2002 Santa Fe lx for only 60 days and the check engine light came on a week ago. When I called the service center they told me it would be at least a week till they could look at it, and that driving it with the light on wouldn't hurt it. Five days later the car would not shift out of first gear when going up any hill when in automatice mode. Needless to say I took it straight to the garage...I just heard from the mechanic yesterday and my shifting problems apparently were caused from a boken catalytic converter! I can't imagine how this could be broke on a 60 day old car! …”
NHTSA complaint #766558, filed 2002-09“Plastic on child seat is bowing with pressure. Upon installation of the snug ride base with adjustable foot in frost outright position, when pressure was applied to place the seat belt snug, the adjustable foot popped into the center slot.”
