“I am the second owner of this vehicle. There have been numerous recall issues associated with this vehicle, most of these issues are safety related. This auto is my sole means of transport. I have a 2 month old grandson who lives with me, and I have no clue if any of these recall issues have been rectified, aside from the brake lamps adapter which has not been fixed. I have no brake lights except for the roofline anti-collision lamps. Repeated attempts to get a hard copy of recall items as being fixed, have been met with no response. …”

NHTSA complaint #10579159, filed 2014-04, 106,000 miles

“Leaving work I was going down the alley when I hit a dip at the end of the alley causing both my driver and passenger airbags to deploy. There was no front end collision just a dip in the road. I sustained a burn to my right hand and burns and bruising to my left forearm. My opinion is that there was not enough impact of any kind to deploy my airbag. I have filed a claim with my insurance company.”

NHTSA complaint #10119697, filed 2005-05, 37,380 miles

“Dt: 2001 Saturn l300 series. The consumer's wife was involved in a head on collision while traveling 25-28 MPH, and the air bags did not deploy. He has contacted Saturn and they were sending a booklet on the air bag system. The vehicle was totaled. The front end was bent. A police report was taken. The consumer's wife sustained chest, abdomen, and knee injuries, and was taken by ambulance to a hospital.”

NHTSA complaint #10133383, filed 2005-08, 49,478 miles

“My Saturn lw300 had many problems while I owned it. On tuesday I had a significant accident which resulted in the total loss of my car. The impact was significant enough to total the car but the air bags did not inflate. The insurance adjuster told me the light went on but they malfunctioned. Luckily I was not injured nor was my three year old son.”

NHTSA complaint #10182124, filed 2007-02

“My brother suffered a closed head injury due to an auto accident while driving a Saturn where the air bag did not deploy. He was air lifted from our area to a head trauma center in minnesota. He has suffered residual effects from this accident and will so for the remainder of his lifetime. We would like him to be contacted regarding the class action suit that are being filed against GM for their failure to notify auto owners of this defect caused by the faulty ignition switch, that they had recalled. Please contact us with any information.”
