2007: “I was driving down the road and my knee accidentally hit the key and it fell right out of the ignition switch. I have to fumble around for it on the floor while the car was running and moving. I also have noticed in the last few months that I have to jiggle the ignition switch quite a few times back and forth in order to start the car. This happens alot some weeks and other weeks, just a few times.”

First the air conditioner started blowing hot air then the stabilititrak and service hybrid system; loss power warning came on along with the check engine light. My 2008 Saturn Vue Hybrid would power down to 50% before engine shuts down. Sometimes it restarts then shuts down again. It did this off and on for about a few weeks. Sometimes vehicle refused to start and when I attempted to turn key it seemed like was stuck inside making it hard to turn or remove it. …”
NHTSA complaint #10644697, filed 2014-10, 123,400 miles2009: “Upon stopping and setting gearshift to park and turning off the ignition the key gets stuck in the accessory position. This drains the battery to the point of obtaining a dead battery. Have taken the car to the dealership and had a new key cylinder put on. Key still gets stuck. New additional parts on order for 230.00 waiting to find out if this fixes this problem.”
