“Takata recall -my daughter hit a parked car and over corrected making the vehicle flip. No airbags deployed. My daughter had a cut on her head, huge bump on forehead, black eye, huge bump on top of her head. Her passanger fractured three finger and had her nails ripped off. She will be having surgery. We had the passenger air bag replaced due to the takata recall in november.”
NHTSA complaint #11078833, filed 2018-03, 88,000 miles“Takata recall - I have tried to get my airbag replaced at the dealer and they won't schedule a time to get it repaired, they say they don't know when they will be able to replace the air bag after multiple requests. I'm personally worried because my car is 7 years old and I live in dallas tx., we have extremely hot summers here. The inflators degrade over time in hot climates.”
NHTSA complaint #10934202, filed 2016-12, 92,000 miles“Had someone pull out in front of me when I was traveling. Unable to stop in time even after locking up the brakes. Was doing apprx. 42 MPH hitting the truck, impact with both vehicles traveling apprx 25 yards into the ditch. My airbags did not deploy at all. None of the airbags. Luckily my seat belt did the job to protect me. Was escorted by ambulance to local hospital.”
NHTSA complaint #10736061, filed 2015-07, 99,000 miles“Take recall I bought this car in april of 2016 and was not notified at all about this recall. No one told me that my airbags could harm me or even kill me. I'm very upset with the manufacturer and the dealership I have worked with.”
