“The rear hatch door does not latch and door can swing open. Problem started around 45k and all the dealer would do is spray the mechanism with wd-40. The problem kept getting worse and I am fed up. As a result of this I would not buy another Subaru. This problem has been on going for at least 2 years ,it happens everytime the hatch is open...it never latches when closed.”

The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who discovered that the brake hoses had failed due to rusting and corrosion of the brake lines. The contact was also informed that the entire subframe had sustained extensive rust and corrosion damage. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 28,000.”
