“The front headlights have been on recall for some time now. When I last contacted the dealership they said they wouldn't fulfill the repair and also said that they would no longer be making parts for the car and may not ever fix the headlights but I waited to see if that wasn't the case. You can check the date the recall was first made officially compared to today to see the timeline.”
NHTSA complaint #11518584, filed 2023-04“The manufacturer has a recall for front headlights not being bright enough and causing a danger to drivers. I no longer feel safe driving my vehicle at night as i cannot see the roadway nor other vehicles can see me. Its been almost a year and it’s taking a long time to remedy the recall. Please help!”
NHTSA complaint #11528645, filed 2023-06“I have received two letters over the past six months, telling me that my 2019 Subaru Impreza has been recalled for faulty headlamps. When I contact my local Subaru dealer, SC, I have three times now been told that the part for the required repair is not available. I feel as if I am driving a vehicle that is dangerous to me and to others. Can you tell me when the required parts will be available for the needed repair?”
NHTSA complaint #11514055, filed 2023-03“The left and right headlight assembly's do not provide sufficient lighting to safely drive at night. I was notified of this recall over 1.5 years ago and there has yet to be a remedy available yet. Because of this, I am unable to safely drive at night. I am unsure what to do at this point other than replace them myself, which I cannot afford to do. I had an incident where I ran over animal carcass on the road because I was unable to see the hazard until I was too close to properly react.”
NHTSA complaint #11572921, filed 2024-02“In the middle of the night I attempted to make a left turn into a parking lot (with headlights on). I was unable to see the ground in the front/left portion of my car. It wasn't until I had almost completed the turn that my light was pointing towards the turn enough that I was able to see I turned a few feet early and was pointed at the curb. I ended up striking the curb with my front left tire and went up over the curb. This scratched/dettached part of my bumper, removed my left fog light cover, and bent the tow eye underneath the car. …”
