- 10237724Oct 14, 2011Equipment. For concerns of navigation inaccuracy, with or without antenna fault codes, begin by checking the number of received satellites in the area of the concern. This can be accomplished by following the instruction in Technical Bulletin 2023490 Antenna Diagnosis Overview.
- 10237722Oct 7, 2011Brakes, Electrical system. Replacement RNS 510 radio/navigation units may be shipped in transportation safeguard mode and therefore will have no sound output. In order to switch the unit out of this mode, hold down the forward seek button, the back seek button, and the music button at the same time until the unit shuts down. Once the unit is powered back ?ON? the safeguard mode will be deactivated.
- 10069539Jul 30, 2011Equipment. Summary to be provided on a future date.
- 10237708Jun 24, 2011Electrical system. The instrument cluster illumination is controlled by a photocell inside the cluster. If an illumination concern is suspected, darken the area over the photocell, or use a flashlight to simulate natural light changes, to see how the illumination is affected. See figure 1 below for example of the photocell location based on a 2011 Jetta sedan. Location can change based on model.
- 10041250Jun 6, 2011Transmission and drivetrain, Steering. Volkswagen: the gear box has a momentarily delay while accelerating.
- 10238581Apr 1, 2011Fuel system, Engine cooling. 2012-2013 Passat does not have measured value block numbers. Check values ?Particle filter, kilometers since last regeneration?, ?Particle filter, oil ash volume?, ?Particle filter, soot mass calculated?, and ?Particle filter, soot mass measured? instead.
- 10038667Mar 23, 2011Brakes. Volkswagen: when the warning lights are used for an extended time there may be multiple problems due to a software concern: warning light symbol stays on after they are turned off. Open door and hatch symbols are shown even though they are closed. Parking brake cannot be released. - 10253213Feb 14, 2011Exterior lighting, Other or unknown. Exterior Lights, Moisture Accumulation
- 10239590Feb 14, 2011Exterior lighting. Exterior Lights, Moisture Accumulation
- 10038655Feb 14, 2011Engine cooling. Volkswagen: malfunction light is on and there is noise with the engine running rough. Multiple trouble codes possibly stored. All models 2008-2012.
- 10038657Feb 4, 2011Fuel system. Volkswagen: malfunction light is on with two possible fault codes present. This is a fuel pressure concern.
- 10037349Nov 24, 2010Engine cooling, Electrical system. Volkswagen: there is a warranty extension on hard start conditions for customers who had an earlier campaign addressed on their vehicles.
- 10036493Sep 30, 2010Other or unknown. Volkswagen: child restraint latch guidance fixture; compliance with fmvss 225 (usa only). Update to existing technical bulletin. No production change required. All models.
- 10036494Sep 16, 2010Fuel system. Volkswagen: mil on; dtc p0087 and/or p0192 stored in ecm fault memory. One or more of the following codes may be stored in the ecm fault memory-low fuel rail pressure detected; fuel rail pressure sensor circuit low. Assistance to properly diagnose a fuel pressure sensor-g247-concern. Models cc, eos, passat and wagon, gti, (a5) jetta, (a6) jetta, tiguan.
- 10035185Aug 16, 2010Other or unknown, Electrical system. Volkswagen: hvac blower only operates on high speed (us only). Fresh air blower runs only at highest level. Because of permanent frost and snowfall fine snow can get into the fresh air blower via the air intake.
- 10036467Aug 9, 2010Exterior lighting, Electrical system. Volkswagen: headlights may intermittently dim slightly at idle. The headlamps or inside lights intermittently dim slightly at idle speed. At idle speed the alternator voltage can fluctuate, as the alternator cannot fully compensate the fluctuations. Golf & wagon gti, new beetle & convertible, eos, jetta & wagon & sportwagon, rabbit, r32, tiguan.
- 10035204Aug 9, 2010Electrical system, Exterior lighting. Volkswagen: headlights may intermittently dim slightly at idle. At idle speed the alternator voltage can fluctuate, as the alternator cannot fully compensate the fluctuations. Some electric consumers come on in cycles or have no constant current consumption, which amplifies this effect. The load condition of the vehicle battery can also influence this effect. Models golf, gti, new beetle & convertible, eos, jetta…
- 10035104Aug 4, 2010Engine cooling. Volkswagen: gff test plan, ground connection verification. New gff function test for engine will not start or intermittently does not start conditions.
