522 technical service bulletins (TSBs) are on record for the 2006 Volkswagen Passat. TSBs are notes manufacturers send to dealers about repair procedures for issues seen in the field. They are not recalls and do not by themselves mean a vehicle has a fault.
- 10023952Nov 2, 2007Seats. Seat, heating inoperative - seat heater will not operate properly or becomes inoperative.
- 10032257Nov 1, 2007Other or unknown. Volkswagen: some vehicles front and rear park assist sensors (park distance control sensors) may not always function properly. Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, install new front and rear park assist sensors.
- 10032256Nov 1, 2007Exterior lighting. Volkswagen: some vehicles with xenon headlamps, condensation can occur inside the xenon headlamps. Vehicles will be inspected and if necessary the xenon headlamp caps will be replaced and spring clips installed. The front and rear park assist sensors (park distance control sensors) on some vehicles may not always function properly.
- 10023691Nov 1, 2007Other or unknown, Exterior lighting. Volkswagen service campaign: see document search button for owner letter. 2006-2007 model year passat & passat wagon with xenon headlamps - replace headlamp caps and install spring clips and check/replace front & rear park distance control sensors (if equipped).
- 10032252Oct 14, 2007Fuel system. Volkswagen: fuel pump replacement clarification. Excessive wear of intake camshaft lobe that drives the high pressure fuel pump. The wear limits maximum pump piston lift, causing fuel rail pressure fluctuations. The wear on the camshaft lobe can also lead to wear on the base of the high pressure fuel pump cam follower.
- 10032272Oct 1, 2007Engine cooling. Volkswagen: due to fuel intrusion into the low pressure side fuel pressure sensor g410, a false signal may be sent to the ecm resulting in a reading that is out of tolerance. A false signal may result in illumination of the malfunction indicator lamp and dtc p129f or dtc p310b being stored in fault memory. Improved fuel pressure sensor g410 to air against fuel intrusion.
- 10022463Jun 29, 2007Engine cooling. Mil on, dtc's p0442, p0445, p0456 or p2404 stored in ecm fault memory, no leaks present.
- 10022462Jun 29, 2007Engine cooling. Mil on, dtc p0087, p1093 or p2293 stored in ecm fault memory.
- 10021957May 10, 2007Exterior lighting. Headlamp inoperative, adaptivehid xenon system.
- 10021967May 3, 2007Transmission and drivetrain. Tcm, harsh up/down shift from transmission when cold.
- 10021430Mar 23, 2007Air bags. Igniter, side airbag, diagnostic trouble code stored in dtc memory.
- 10021315Jan 11, 2007Engine cooling. Dtc's p1297 (17705) or p1557 (17965) stored in dtc memory. This may be caused by intake hoses leaking (during boost conditions) due to incorrect torque on clamps or improper placement, worn or torn intake hoses.
- 10020699Sep 12, 2006Exterior lighting. Consumer may report moisture inside hid headlamp housing.
- 10021680Sep 7, 2006Exterior lighting. Headlamp inoperative, adaptive hid xenon system.
- 10019485Feb 23, 2006Engine cooling. Mil on, dtcs p0442, or p0456 stored (oa).
- 10019459Feb 17, 2006Steering. Driver steering recommendations (dsr) activation and software programming for dtcs.
- 10212724Jan 1, 2006Fuel system. Pressure Fuel Pump Replacement.
- 10017751Nov 2, 2005Transmission and drivetrain. Cooler, transmission fluid seepage (bu). Transmission fluid may seep from o-ring seals at the front of the vehicle.
- 10017774Oct 19, 2005Equipment. Hvac airflow coming from wrong vent (ob).
- 10017753Oct 19, 2005Latches, locks and linkages. Hood release lever inside vehicle is inoperative (bt).
- 10017750Oct 19, 2005Engine cooling. Coolant hose retention clip (b9). Customer may report a coolant odor, drips and possible coolant seepage or leak due to a misaligned coolant hose retention clip.
- 10016896Sep 14, 2005Tires. Tire pressure monitoring system (tpms), operation overview.
