“Started my car to warm it up, came out to drive it and the airbag light was on. Dealer turned it off twice before the wiring harness and airbag had to be replaced. This was a very costly repair and I feel it should've been volkswagens bill, not mine as I did nothing to cause this and it was caused by poor craftsmanship, which I did not pay for.”

NHTSA complaint #10669283, filed 2014-12, 80,000 miles

“Takata recall - contacted Volkswagen (bobby beck's lewisville Volkswagen) & they stated there is no replacement part for 69m8, meaning there is nothing they can order to carry out the replacement & have no further information, including if & when that will change. I am concerned about my family using this vehicle, how & when will this defect be rectified? When will Volkswagen be able to order a replacement part?”

NHTSA complaint #10967281, filed 2017-03, 107,000 miles

“All power to my steering wheel including the horn, radio controls and airbag had gone dead. We called vw but they indicates it is not a problem. My 2012 cc was recalled for this issue. I think this is a wider issue than just ccs. The recall should be expanded to 2007 vw Passat wagons.”

NHTSA complaint #10786474, filed 2015-10, 135,000 miles

“We have heard nothing from our local dealer regarding a time schedule as to when the airbags will be replaced even after repeated calls. What has been happening with regard to this recall and requiring the vendor to provide a timeline?”

NHTSA complaint #10906049, filed 2016-09, 91,000 miles

“Takata recall everything was fine just another day when I shut off my car for the night all of a sudden my airbag light decides to stay on when starting my car in the morning and after work it says airbag fault on display and light still on.”

NHTSA complaint #10807611, filed 2015-11, 116,150 miles
