2009 Volvo S40 Technical Service Bulletins

154 technical service bulletins (TSBs) are on record for the 2009 Volvo S40. TSBs are notes manufacturers send to dealers about repair procedures for issues seen in the field. They are not recalls and do not by themselves mean a vehicle has a fault.

• 10032425Jul 10, 2009Transmission and drivetrain. Volvo: the 5 speed automatic transmission, aw55-50/51, has a bolt on top that anchors the b4 band, which applies 3rd gear. If that bolt is removed, the band will be disengaged and 3rd gear will be inoperative. This includes c70 coupe and convertible, s60 r and v70 r vehicles.
• 10032645Jul 1, 2009Steering, Electrical system, Brakes. Volvo: anti skid service required message, swm-0201, bcm-0109, eps-0080. New swm software has been implemented into production after the chassis range in the header.

Certain vehicles equipped with hdd(hard disc drive) navigation system have an error in the map data. This will cause the navigation system to route away from highways that contains hov (high occupancy) or car pool lanes. This is an upgrade to the navigation system. Csc letter was received.
