“The vehicle stalls or goes into limp mode often upon acceleration, but also apparently randomly. There is a recall for the same model of a different year described as vehicles going into the limp home mode without need . I took it to a Volvo mechanic and he found no problem, but he cleaned some parts and charged me. It still happens and is dangerous since the car could stall in traffic. It has happened over 100 times. I called Volvo support and they said they could do nothing since there is no recall on that model. They offered no technical support which I thought was the least they should do. …”

“There is or was no failure or crash , but what it sounds like there might be one on the recall of my Volvo V70 station wagon 2002 because of a possible malfunctioning software in the electronic throttle system . The recall notice came from Volvo cars of north america, llc. I need some more information on this to see just how urgent and serious I should take priority to get my car in to see a Volvo service center to get it fixed, because this could be just a way of getting a one half hour labor charge out of people if my car does not contain the recall problem.”

“The contact owns a 2002 Volvo V70. The contact noticed a fuel leak coming from the rear passenger side of the vehicle. There was also a fuel odor when the vehicle was being refueled. The dealer (Volvo cars tampa, 6008 n dale mabry hwy, tampa, fl) was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed because there were no recalls for the failure. The diagnostic testing fees would be at the contact's expense. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 215,000.”
